[accessories] D&H 5.56 30 Round Aluminum Magazine $6.99
[Handgun] Sig Sauer P365 (with XRAY3 Night Sights) - $499
This or the X95? Someone help me understand.
I like the lines of the SAR better, but are there any important considerations besides aesthetics I should be thinking about?
The trigger is the easiest thing to fix though. Thanks for the input.
See my response to the other reply. He says in the video that the triggers are the same if you get a later SAR.
I guess I need to hold them both side-by-side.
I recommend doing just that (holding them side-by-side) if you can.
I went with a SAR myself as, in hand, it felt like a more serious (space) gun to me vs. the X95. I also liked the weird mag release the SAR has and the other things that make the Tavor a Tavor, and not just another gun in bullpup format.
All these reasons are mega subjective though. I'd get the one that feels the most right to you.
I wonder if Mr Gun Dealer has both in stock. Time to pay them a visit.
270 on black Friday homie for pack and trigger
Had both, kept the SAR. To me the X95 feels like a cheaper SAR, the magazine catch is plastic, charging handle pulls straight back instead of rotating to unlock, and the handguard covers feel like they were made by Fisher-Price. I also prefer the angled handguard and longer length of pull on the SAR. I’d try to handle both and see which you prefer, newer SAR’s have the same trigger as the X95 and the X95’s accuracy problems have been corrected, so go with whichever feels best to you.
Great feedback. Thanks!
SAR. Great price BTW. I picked the SAR over the X95 as well. Also, you can get the tavor bipod that only works with the SAR. Not as much benefit to the compactness of the X95 since they have to be 26in OAL. Supposedly the X95 has worse accuracy than the SAR. The X95 also moved around some of the controls that some might feel works better.
Unfortunately, Mr Gun Dealer is in town. So I have to pay sales tax on it if I buy from them. 🙁
Hasn't stopped me from shopping there though. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
From what I also understand they are no longer building/importing the SAR so these are some of the last ones.
I just watched Ant Man and Wasp - they use this gun (no optics) quite frequently. Does it have anything to do with the deal? Nope, but its a cool story.
Not familiar with Tavors. Is there an advantage to the bullpup 556 that an AR pistol or sbr in 556 doesn't have that offsets the considerably higher asking price?
