SULAIMANI — The New Generation Movement announced on Monday (October 1) it has rejected the process of the Kurdistan parliamentary election, which was held on Sunday.
New Generation said it would announce its final stance in the coming days.
People in the Kurdistan Region cast their ballots for the parliamentary election on Sunday.
The Independent High Elections and Referendum Commission said voter turnout in election had reached 57.23 percent.
IHERC said that voter turnout was 58 percent for Erbil province, 61 percent for Duhok, 53 percent for Sulaimani and 60 percent for Halabja. Total turnout was 57 percent.
There were a number of complaints from observers and monitors about fraud and voter intimidation across the Region.
