Mosin Nagant for sale in Idlib, produced in 1916
Syrian War Daily – 20th of October 2018
Russia says kills 88,000 Syria rebels
A good point for the anti-ISIS offensive
That is the ultimate victory. They are the last remainder of ISIS territory in the entire ME, unless you consider Afghanistan to be part of the ME.
Rest in Peace, Southern Front. Hopefully the Mukhabarat won't go completely overboard and the fighters and activists who stayed will be able to contribute to rebuilding and rejuvenating Syria without too much fear of imprisonment or death for the slightest sign of dissent.
I imagine that of they go overboard (imo, it's a matter of when), they will form some sort of emigre community in a country friendly to their cause
There is no longer any country friendly to their cause. Jordan, Israel, the Gulf States, US, UK, etc. all abandoned them. I doubt most of them even want to be associated with their cause anymore. Many are simply tired of the war and just want to return to normal life.
Of course there are many who are not going to fight, particularly if the government doesn't make their loves extra miserable. But there's gotta be those who are not going to fold (particularly in Idlib), and I don't see a reason why they can't live their lives out in KSA. The Saudi govt doesn't have to do anything really, just let them in
