Kafr Shams and Umm al-Awsaj under army
The SAA captures Tel Harra
army enter Harra town
SAA liberate Tayhah
IS released a photo report of the IED targeting the car, second photo report from Idlib wilayah today.
They are pretty active there...
I am wondering if it's possible for SAA intel to drop some hints to daesh.
It’s probably pretty likely either cells there have been infiltrated or they’re being instructed with some government sympathies. The fact that they’re prioritizing those who could join them instead of who they say are sworn enemies of Islam makes that pretty clear.
Nah, that's their doctrine. Priority is the internal enemy and uniting the ranks of the muslims (irony alert) etc. Same reason why they rarely touch Israel.
HTS/FSA -> Assad -> ?? -> Israel -> ?? -> Rome
The 'Treachery Front' is a pretty old enemy now and deeply routed. People still remember al-Maghrebi.
I understand and agree with the philosophy of traitors before enemies. But Daesh needs a support base in Idlib. Killing people in the area isn’t going to get them that support base.
Hard to create a support base if HTS remains intact and strong while continuing to perform anti-IS operations. I don't know what the end goal for the Idlib wilayah is, if more above ground presence is on the horizon or continuing to perform these destabilizing attacks, but either way I can't see IS moving more openly unless HTS and others are weakened.
They made the same in Iraq. Eliminated a lot of security officials and later took over vast zones of the country.
