Guys, if you want to protest effectively, you gotta go all out red hat, douchey as fuck, holding a few signs. Right when the Don comes out drop your disguise and let him have it.
British translation: Oy mates, if ye got yer knickers in a proper twist, ye need to display the proper accouterments: acquire thyself a crimson chapeau, right chavish, displaying pleasant missives. Whence the Donald approaches, burst forth like a badger from a teakettle and deliver unto him your righteous invective.
Mr. true_spokes, what you’ve just typed is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a humorous thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
No. Let him see what the world thinks of him. HE said he's tired of America being a laughing stock and only him and his ilk could make America respected again. Let. Him. See.
It shouldn't fucking be there doesn't matter what it is.
No, he shouldn't. That's the fucking basis of a democracy.
The basis of Democracy is to directly expose the leader of one nation to throngs of people from another nation who dislike him?
Here I was thinking it was something about freedom and equality.
Government derives legitimacy from the consent of the governed.
If the leader of a country can prevent or restrict protests, then that leader is not acting in the spirit of democracy.
Still not the basis of democracy.
He's not restricting or preventing anything. It's a security measure taken by the host country, not by him.
It's another country though.
Trump does have wall/fence combos as a prototype, so I imagine he'll love this version.
That will keep those dangerous immigrants out of the ambassador's residence, and Trump fulfills his campaign promise.
and the Limeys are paying for it
Hey he got a foreign country to build a wall for him. Promises kept! Maga
seeing the talk, he is refusing taking questions from CNN calling them fake news. he also says the Sun is fake news. anyone who says negative comments are fake news.
Plus, LEAVE OBAMA ALONE, this is your administration now. stop comparing himself to someone else. He has done nothing but damage america in the past 160 days than anyone has done in their whole administration
Have you heard about the balloon they're funding of Khan?
And how it raised more money than the Trump one, in much less time, with virtually no media coverage whatsoever?
Remember when Trump drones claimed the balloon didn't bother them? lol. This doesn't exactly support that if they're this triggered by such a minor politician.
We love the ballon, and the retaliatory one is just to see if Khan approves it since he used the Trump one as a benchmark of how free their speech is.
We can tell you 'love it' because you ferociously try to pretend you love it. Doesn't come off as defensive whatsoever.
So, is the Trump one pathetic too?
Both are embarrassing in my opinion.
at least the trump one is original. The Khan one is just reaction ands therefore without any originality.
IMO! brits should have done a parade better, the drumpf ballon, a stormy daniels one maybe? some russian tanks? a marching band playing the north korean anthem? a fighting couple in the back of a drop top resembling melania and drumpf? i feel like their could have been more done although i think the ballon of the "ballon" is already good enough but honestly i woulda gone all out!
It's a mesh fence, not a wall, it's not like its actually hiding protests from him or anything. Its clearly a security measure.
The media are constantly recyclying non-stories about him avoiding protests, perhaps the protesters should have found out where Trump was going to be having his meetings before applying for permits for expensive blimps etc.
There are plenty of things I would gladly protest against Trump for, but this is all getting so childish and embarrasing.
I agree in the sense that we should pick our fights carefully. Fighting dirty with dirty sends an obviously wrong message.
I dont think the blimp is fighting dirty, I think it's fighting ineffectively and childishly. There needs to be a more direct message than "we hate Trump and think he's a big baby".
I think the media fight dirty though, but its because they know they'll get views on anything anti-Trump, so they create stories/scandals where there are none. They are their own worst enemy, as Trump and his suppoters can use this to support their "fake news" claims. It also has a "boy who cried wolf" effect, which is a shame because there are lots of legitimate Trump scandals to report on. The inverse is true for Trump-freindly media like Fox, constantly defending and dismissing the indefensible, and creating scandals out of thin air, aimed at the left.
I gave you an upvote but I'm sure your comment will be drowned in moments. He's actually doing a lot while there and will be doing plenty of traveling.
I can’t remember but didn’t the PM say he was banned from coming to UK when Trump got into office?
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 88%. (I'm a bot)
Winfield House is the only place where Trump will spend time in central London, where demonstrators are expected to gather in their tens of thousands for a march on Friday afternoon, hours after a giant "Trump baby" balloon is flown near the UK Parliament in an eye-catching stunt.
On Saturday, Trump supporters will rally near the US embassy in Vauxhall, south London, for an event titled "Welcoming Trump to Britain Rally - Make Britain Great Again," at which a number of right-wing figures are scheduled to speak.
The Trumps will have left town the night before for Scotland, where the President owns two golf properties, Trump Turnberry and Trump Aberdeen.
Walls don't work with giant baby balloons.
who cares, Chinese visitors get walled off from Tibet protesters all the time and nobody gives a flying fuck. With the amount of time he spends on the bloody internet, he probably knows what people think of him
Yeah, there’s lot of precedence for this.
I think he’d be more upset if he held a big public event and no one showed up.
Some plan to stage an "all-night noise protest" outside the barricades surrounding Winfield House later Thursday, with those attending urged to "bring pots, drums and vuvuzelas."
That's going too far. This is Central London where a lot of people live. Some people don't care about the protest and just want to get some sleep.
What the fuck are they protesting about?
He gets to hide behind a wall, that's what he wants isn't it?
Looks easy enough to cut..
