Syrian War Daily – 23rd of October 2018
Syrian Red Crescent delivered 2 humanitarian aid shipments to Douma in Eastern Ghouta, on 21, 22 Oct. 8 trucks carried 3000 food parcels,1008 blankets, 200 mattresses (ICRC), 1925 food parcels & 50 boxes of nutritional supplements (World Food Programme), 500 plastic sheets (UN Refugee Agency).
Israel has a long history of using lies and deceit to further its cause
including a failed attempt to bomb US and UK buildings in Egypt in 1954 (for which the terrorists responsible were recently commemorated by the Israeli governments as heroes who died for the Israeli cause)
and the extended attack on a US Navy vessel in 1967, which was officially an accident, but the Israeli pilots involved in the attack publicly declared that they knew it was American, and were threatened with court marshal when they refused to attack it
at any rate an unarmed drone in Israeli airspace is hardly a justification for such a strong military attack, especially considering that Israel (and the NATO members) violates Syrian air space on a daily basis
Events in 1967 have nothing to do with the SCW in the 2010's. You're diverging too far; stay on track.
of course it's relevant, it shows that Israel has a history of using terrorism and deception, and got away with it. this suggests they still employ the same tactics today, why wouldn't they
The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Within the context of this discussion, this information is entirely relevant. I'm surprised I should have to explain that to anyone.
States are not people. That's where this method of prediction completely and totally falls down.
States are, funnily enough, run by people. Culture is pervasive. The point stands.
But not the same people; and culture is not a monolithic formula, either. It continues to fall down.
What you are suggesting is contrary to studies on culture. Not the same people, but as I've made clear, culture is pervasive and persistent - this is well known and well supported. Suggesting otherwise won't change that.
but the Israeli pilots involved in the attack publicly declared that they knew it was American
False, I would like a source but you won't have any.
and were threatened with court marshal when they refused to attack it
lol... any more fantasies?
at any rate an unarmed drone in Israeli airspace is hardly a justification for such a strong military attack
Who are you to decide that? As far as we know no one was killed in the retaliation strikes anyway.
violates Syrian air space on a daily basis
Considering that Syria is arming funding and training Jihadists that attack Israel (Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah), and that it serves as a base for Iranian forces that threaten to destroy Israel and arm, train and support Jihadists that attack Israel (Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah), that's understandable.
So all you have is a false flag operation by Israeli forces from the time Israel was just being established, 6 years after it's creation, and it's security forces were in flux.
This dude is a grade A conspiracy theorist.
Israel bombed a US ship in 1967, just saying
The US explicitly told Israel that they had no ships in the area.
About 5 different US committees concluded that it was a mistaken identity accident, such that happen commonly in wars.
Just stating facts...
Edit: the state of the sub when stating facts gets you downvoted.
And then some. He must be bored this morning. Im pretty sure "his Israeli source " only exists in his head.
This twitter thread screams mental illness.
This is beyond stupid. Israel doesn't need to shoot down their own drone just to fire some artillery at SAA positions.
