Iraq’s Top Cleric Is Becoming Its Political Savior
Syrian War Daily – 22nd of October 2018
Video from Liwa Shuhada Hasakah showing clashes in Tadif
Thank you for posting this, it was an awesome listen. I've always found it a shame that the Assyrian people are so pre-occupied with in-fighting over names and legacies, but hey, you do you Assyria.
I was garrisoned in Assyrian villages on the Khabour, and had several interactions with the Khabour guards (shared a position with them southwest of the Abdul-Aziz mountains). I hope the people do return to their villages, though I fear that will not be the case.
In Iraq I'm sad to hear that the KRG still holds some Assyrian villages, as the KRG has proven itself to most certainly not be a friend to the Assyrian people.
