"Evil Netanyahu imposes apartheid blockade on innocent Gazans who sent warm messages of peace"
This isn't too far from how some media outlets will report it.
Good. They haven't stopped investing their money and time in incendiary kites for a single day since they started using them. Fuck 'em.
If the "normal" folk want peace, they can slice some Hamas throats and get it.
Umm... You forget Hamas has full grasp of their lives, hold most if not all weapons in Gaza... It ain't that easy to "slice some Hamas throats", you know.
not our problem. maybe they should've thought about that during the 2005 election.
Sure, but it's not what I said. I just said their hands are tied. They can't do much.
That's not an excuse to not act when you're 2 million vs a couple of thousand. If you want change, you'll wash right over them, no matter what...a lot of those are family members so I doubt they'll just shoot their own brothers and sisters TOO much.
Sometimes you just can't win by being "nice". It gets you nowhere. So yeah, let it be a real siege, let them decide how many should starve while Hamas members get all the food, water, electricity and gas until they say enough is enough and take action.
It should be made 100% clear that the moment Hamas is gone the entire blockade will be lifted, but it is THEIR responsibility. Hamas (and the islamic blahblahjihad as well) is a real enemy that should not be given any more freedom of action.
And why can't we do anything about it? Nettanyahu keeps telling us every time "I will tear down the rule of Hamas" yet we get nothing. Just more random bombings in Gaza occasionally.
Now everyone jumps and says "it's not our problem. Why would we help our enemies with their own business?"
Well it is our problem, because while we're sitting here in our comfort, families in the south of the country are losing their houses and fields to rockets and burning kites. If we want Hamas out, we need to take action as well. They're our enemies as much as they're Gaza's enemies.
Bibi's motto is unfortunately "inaction 100% of the time" on many important matters. Every operation so far has been a less than total one, and has kept Hamas in power instead of replacing it with something else. Basically useless, long-term. I never voted for the guy and don't believe he currently acts in Israel's interests, mostly his own, so "conflict resolution" is not something I expect to see in the coming years (regardless of the fact that I don't believe there's any palestinian leadership that also wants peace right now, shitty situation).
Kerem Shalom should have stayed closed. Instead it was used as life-support for Hamas while everyone keeps suffering.
We can't go back and change what's been done but perhaps this'll do something. What would you suggest?
Me? Idk, this seems ok to me, I just commented about the last thing you said.
Good, we should have closed it a long time ago. Let Egypt and the rest of the Muslim world support their brothers.
"Let Egypt and the rest of the Muslim world support their brothers" xD
Imagine how Israel would be if it had neighbors who loved her rather than hated her, and Israel could invest in itself rather than spend all that money on defense.
