Kafr Shams and Umm al-Awsaj under army
A lot of pictures of Syrians enjoying the water from that account, but scarcely any girls in any of them. Are poeple still concerned about terrorist retaliation?
The majority of Syria is conservative Muslims.
The only picture with any girls in it is from Wadi al-Nasara, a christian area.
Even in the Christian one where there’s a female in a two piece suit, that boy:girl ratio still suggests it’s looked down upon.
Yeah, Syrian Christians can also be conservative, but less likely than their Muslim counterparts. By conservative, I don't only mean religious, but also socially.
As another user I saw answered, I think it just might be relative social conservatism and not as common for girls in public. The Christians and Alawites (you might see a lot of the latter at the beaches in Latakia and Tartus) are generally more socially loose/libertine, but many still not in comparison to the Western understanding of it.
